Starting in September 2021, 3 Mexican physicians will attend OMI Observerships at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria. Dr. Mariano Oropeza Aguilar, 3rd year resident in Urology at the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubirán began his observership on September 1st in the department of Urology with Prof. Dr. Shahrokh Shariat and his team and will stay until October 31st.
Dr. Alexandra Rueda de León, specialist in hepatopancreatobiliary surgery also at the Salvador Zubirán National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition, is doing her 2-month medical stay (October and November 2021) in Visceral surgery with Dr. Christoph Schwarz.
Additionally, AMSA Fellow Dr. Nidia Zapata Canto, Oncologist at the National Cancer Institute, will travel in November to participate in an observership in Hematology with Dr. Ulrich Jäger.
