Updated Pediatrics Curriculum (AMSA-OMI-CHOP)

AMSA is glad to share the updated pediatric curriculum from OMI and the Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia (CHOP)! Founded in 1855, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is the oldest hospital in the United States dedicated exclusively to pediatrics. Children are the most vulnerable in society and millions die each year in the developing world due to environmentally related causes and conditions and a lack of adequate medical treatment. In 1995, the American Austrian Foundation recognized the need to include pediatric issues in the OMI and CHOP seminars; And now also at AMSA! Each year, CHOP conducts six seminars covering all pediatric specialties over three years (19 different seminars in total). In addition, CHOP organizes five leadership seminars, which are offered to OMI and AMSA alumni every three years.
