This week we had the visit of Dr. Wolfgang Aulitzky and Stephanie Faschang, Director and Executive Director of the Open Medical Institute. This visit took place within the framework of the OMI MEX Seminar on Pediatric Emergencies that took place from May 23rd to 25th at the ABC Medical Center Campus Santa Fe.
Our main associate, the Open Medical Institute (OMI) is an international medical education initiative that began its project in 1993, to prevent brain drain and promote continuing education; OMI offers physicians training seminars in Salzburg, Austria. As well as the opportunity to apply for clinical and research medical training of 1 to 3 months, in its associate institutions.
Starting in 2022, AMSA’s ongoing collaboration project with OMI called OMI-MEX was launched, with the goal of extending the benefit to physicians in Central and South America. The strength of AMSA and now OMI MEX lies in the alliances and cooperation with the most important public and private institutions in the country, which is why during Dr. Aulitzky’s visit, he met with some of the associates and leaders in the Health Sector such as the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social, the IMSS Foundation, the Instituto Nacional de Pediatría, the Federico Gómez Children’s Hospital of Mexico, the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubiran, the School of Medicine of the Tecnologico de Monterrey and the ABC Medical Center.
We appreciate the trust, support and presence of our friend Wolfgang Aulitzky, as well as the collaboration of the Hospitals and Institutes to continue working on Maximizing the positive impact of health professionals in Mexico, through continuing education, empowerment and networking.
